What: Presented by Chevron, the UH Energy Symposium Series focuses on critical issues in energy.  The February event is a moderated debate asking the question “Private Profit vs. Public Good: Do Energy Companies Have a Social Responsibility?” Featured guest speakers are:  Badar Khan, Direct Energy; Nate Teti, Statoil North America;  Aneel Karnani, University of Michigan; and Kathleen Harnett White,  Texas Public Policy Foundation. The Greater Houston Chapter of the Red Cross will celebrate its 100th anniversary on February 5, 2016. The kickoff celebration of this milestone will be an Inaugural Spring Luncheon on Monday, March 2, 2015 at the Hilton Americas-Houston Hotel. This event will highlight the spirit of preparedness and our commitment to provide vital services to the Gulf Coast area 365 days a year-from responding to home fires in local neighborhoods to teaching first aid and CPR to the community.
