Karen: This is the PKF Texas Entrepreneur’s Playbook. I’m Karen Love, Director of Practice Growth, and I’m here with Kenneth Guidry President of PKF Texas. Welcome back to the Playbook, Kenneth.

Kenneth: Thank you Karen.

Karen: Well I’d like to get your perspective now on the fact that you are a leader of your accounting firm in the marketplace, past chair of PKF North America Board and we’d like to know what an accounting firm can do to impact a business’s bottom line maybe in comparison to what other professional services would provide.  Can you share a little bit of thought there with us?

Kenneth: In today’s world we hear a lot about big data and really big data has been part of our foundational skill set for many years, taking lots of information and making sense of it. One of the ways that I think that we add great value to business owners is not just through looking at historical data but then mining information from that data for key performance indicators that help set the course for an effective strategy and a business owner’s success and a route to profits if you will and I think that is a differentiator for us as a profession.

Karen: Fantastic. Well thank you for sharing that because I know that you as a leader of an accounting firm also would go by key performance indicators as well.

Kenneth: Indeed. Indeed we do.

Karen: Well thank you for being here today and please come back and share a little bit more with us, will you? Thank you. Well this has been a Thought Leader Production brought to you by PKF Texas, the Entrepreneur’s Playbook. Tune in next week for another chapter.  See you then.
