Greg: This is PKF Texas, the Entrepreneur’s Playbook. I’m Greg Price, Director of Consulting Solutions, and I’m here again with Jeff Hall, a Dynamics partner account manager at Microsoft. Jeff, welcome back to the Playbook.
Jeff: Thanks for having me, Greg.
Greg: So, Dynamics NAV and manufacturing. What can you tell me about the products’ capabilities in this area?
Jeff: Well, Microsoft Dynamics NAV is an excellent solution for mid-market manufacturing companies. For starters, many of these companies have never invested in an integrated software solution to manage a business, and where they find themselves today, is they have islands of personnel, and islands of data, and their people are having to do all kinds of manual workarounds, jumping from system to system, to try to find answers, get information, help them drive the business forward, and then this costs time and money.
Greg: So where does Dynamics NAV excel over its competitors?
Jeff: Well, we’ve got things like our rule center, that allows employees to quickly do things that are relevant to their job, such as see the status of an order. We’ve also got some technology built in there that allows them to get really solid and sound visibility into the inventory and the production planning, things of that nature, and then also things such as forecasting and order promising that actually lives up to expectations. We have case studies from customers that show that a properly deployed instance of Dynamics NAV shows a less in 12 month or a ______ effect.
Greg: Wow, that is a great turnaround for a company making an investment.
Jeff: It is.
Greg: Thanks for sharing that insight with us. We’ll have you back again.
Jeff: Thank you.
