The Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) is a nonprofit, voluntary, professional organization representing Texas CPAs in public practice, business & industry, government and education.
The Houston CPA Society, a Society of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, was organized in 1928 for the purpose of networking and social interaction. In the 1940s the Society began offering continuing education for its members. Since then the organization has become a permanent source of continuing education as well as a professional network for CPAs, not only in Houston, but throughout Texas.
The Center for Audit Quality (CAQ) is dedicated to enhancing investor confidence and public trust in the global capital markets by fostering high quality performance by public company auditors; convening and collaborating with other stakeholders to advance the discussion of critical issues requiring action and intervention; and advocating policies and standards that promote public company auditors’ objectivity, effectiveness and responsiveness to dynamic market conditions.
